The Problem With Security Tooling

The problem with most of the security tooling is that by focusing on these, these vulnerabilities, these are all theoretically going to affect you. But they're not actually affecting you in a real way. Most tools that you use, they want big numbers. They want to scare the people. And we're trying to let them just like, Oh, you fat fingered the name of a package you're going to install. That's what we're looking for. So it's pretty different. I think build what people need, not what they want," he said.
