Writing for an Anglophone Audience
When you write fiction for an anglophone audience, especially that spans a good bit of history. You want your reader to come away know something about about the history of the place. A lot of writers tend to put the pedagogy ahead of the story telling and the craft of writing. And there were times, i confess that i thought you teetered on it. Not enough to spoil anything,. Certainly, i'm more sensitive to it than probably most readers are.
