Is There a Need for Regulation?
Every industry, every company is subject to general legislation. Then there are some industries that have that ar big and important and have a bunch of very specific and quite technical issues. And so these industries get o instead of industry specific regulation. Technology policy is just as complicated as education policy or transport policy - all complicated fields with lots of tradeors. You can't have everything you want at the same time. We regulate cars but car safety is a separate problem, even from car omissions.
