All that information from the body itself is coming up to that post central gyrus. And then if you recall, I mentioned before about the association areas. Just behind that primary somatosensory cortex is your somatosensor association area. That again brings together all these little bits of information along with other information from the brain. So it allows us to essentially give a little bit more meaning to the objects that we're feeling or that information that we're bringing up as individual bits of information.
