Marijuana is very insidious. And I think part of the issue is that terrible, you know, terrible events and terrible things don't really happen to people that smoke pot. You can go on and on for years with basically just maintaining this high every day but nothing really progresses. So it's kind of like the slow insidious, like I called it the slow bow to nowhere.
Today, I’m sharing an interview with author and ex-stand up comedian Pam Gaslow. After more than a decade of sobriety, Pam relapsed into addiction at age 45.
While many people think of marijuana as a harmless drug, Pam’s experience was different: She became an addict, living without purpose and barely able to function.
We chat about everything, from why people think weed is completely harmless when it almost destroyed Pam’s life, to how her mindset has shifted post-addiction.
