I feel like i am a bad judge of how familiar people are with the problem of consciousness, because i have been so eeped in it andfixated on it for now decades. Som always surprised that people find this a novel problem and difficult to even notice as a problem. It's awfully hard to define consciousness by at least i like to start by saying consciousness is the subjective experience of the mind and the world. This we can distinguish from a questions about, say, behavior and about functioning. What i like to call the heart problem of consciousness is the one about how it feels from the first persons pointf he dd.
