The Future of the Economy
We cannot handle high prices. So there will be demand destruction. But we do have evidence from history that if we have the right fiscal and monetary policies, we can handle or mitigate the impact of higher energy prices. I think we're headed back into that in the late 2020s. If our politicians and our officials in the Fed and central banks do or adopt their own policies, that's where the problems are.
