Is Zone Two Right for You?

The easiest way I tell people is look, when we talk about zone two, we're talking about a metabolic shift. And that would be your rate of breathing. When they get to that point, it represents that inflection point where the rate of respiration is increasing and corresponds to a change in blood pH. So basically, when you can't carry on a conversation is legitimately when you're making pretty much the biggest metabolic shifts out of zone two. It's actually interestingly one of the most accurate, even in a lab setting.
