The Decline of Ritual in the West

Dimitri Bkov: There's been a lot of writing about how people in the Western world are involved in fewer and fewer rituals. He says it is true that religious rituals in the West might be declining, but I do think that the human need for ritual goes deep into evolutionary lineage. Pasek: As people take part in fewer religious rituals, they seek to fill that void by participating in other kinds of rituals.
