Sextus Roskius from Amaria in Umbria got murdered under suspicious circumstances. His enemies in town or his rivals saw an opportunity and made a deal to have him retroactively proscribed after his death. A young Cicero then ended up defending the young man for that, and that speech he delivered still survives.
