The Insidious Truth About Dehydration
The insidious thing about dehydration is that you don't know how close the edge is. That's why there are so many stories of people succumbing to dehydration on a day hike, just a few miles from the trailhead or highway. A guy four or five miles from my house here in Tucson, he died laying on a chase lounge beside his swimming pool. He'd definitely been tired or had an extra martini laid down on his chase lounge and basically cooked himself to death next to 20,000 gallons of water.
