The New Blood Pressure Guidelines for People With Diabetes

For years, the target blood pressure for people with diabetes has been less than 140 over 90. The American Diabetes Association stood by that recommendation even after the American Heart Association dropped its recommended blood pressure goal to 130 over 80 in 2017 AHA hypertension guidelines. So I think people will be pleased to simplify the world a bit and the new recommendations are a goal blood pressure less than 130 over 80. That's an important change.
