Is There Perpetual Peace?
The essay is organized around some key articles, and i guess it's kind of like a list. Kant is laying out the necessary con ons for perpetual peace. The first one that he gives us is that no treaty of peace will be valid if either one of the parties anticipates a future conflict or is preparing for a future conflict. In o for any real treaty to ensue, it has to imply that it will go on forever in order for this to be a really perpetual peace.
