Is DeFi the Next Big Thing?

I think it's clear that a handful of protocols have real modes due to various reasons. Each protocol, say you guys in a swap, make or Dow, maybe you could put Lido in there. They started off in a very specialized place, using that as a launch pad and as a gateway into many other things. Will it be existing protocols that win that?
