Can We Really Hasten the Second Coming?
Second peter three 12 teaches that we can literally hasten the return of christ. In reply, i say, not if god has already ordained a day and an hour. If he really has made christ return depend on when we freely finish our task of evangelization then there can be no absolute, predetermined day and hour. On that supposition, than when christ returns would be perhaps within some parimeters up to us even though god has fixed and alone knows when it will happen.
