I Wonder What I Could Not Stand in the Kitchen?
The idea of intentional thoughts unpack that a little bit. So something else I could be thinking that generates a different feeling. For my overeating clients, that's often curiosity that they want to generate like, or I encourage them to generate. It doesn't have to be excitement or determination, but curiosity can be a great bridge. If you're able to do that, it almost sounds like what you're saying is that better alternatives will sort of present themselves if you can do those first few things.
