The collaboration for this process was just, hey, this would be cool to do this podcast story. It has to explain how this character ends up in prison. And that was the entire thing that I had to work with. The dark one novel was similar to what you got. He gave me an outline, but actually very little, if any world building of how the secondary world, it's a portal fantasy, how does that actually function? Doing that kind of work for high work can be incredibly rewarding financially and can be really fun to write in these universes. But it is also trying to hit a moving target with people who are very busy.
