What Is a Super Nova?
A super nova is the end point of certain kinds of stars. It's like a star that took off its glasses and became new. The name comes from Hiko Brahe who wrote this book, Denova Stella. People have been seeing them for literally thousands of years. They're dramatic because they happen on human time scales.
