The Rise and Fall of Cotton in the 21st Century
The story of cotton as a global commodity ended up in the 21st century. Most places it's not India that's manufacturing the garment you have this situation where Bangladesh for example is a lot more successful in its garment export. The textile industry has kind of there was a kind of whirlwind tour of this industry around the world to wherever they could get cheap labor. I think we probably have reached now the end of that because you know short of leaving planet earth there's no other place to go so you know and then that probably will have some kind of implications for the long history of capitalism that there's just nowhere else to go now well there is Brexit yes yeah for those.
