The Stranger Can't Choose to Be Sauron or Not
I think that there were ways to, yeah, show, don't tell. A king that has to say he is the king is no king. From that kind of perspective, no, the stranger can't choose to be if he's Sauron. So it's just odd that they set it up like, oh, you can choose to be good. And it's like, well, he's either not Sauron or he's not. It probably could have been phrased a little bit differently.
