To threaten can be physical or indeed it could be something like a court case. When you warn somebody, you give them advance notice that something is going to happen. Admit, boast, claim, complain, concede, confirm, deny, dismiss, doubt, inquire, insist, object to, observe, propose, recommend, regret, resent, and then finally warn. These are the sort of verbs that you want to use in your written English. Try and practice them, say do you understand them.
