The New Age Traveller World Has Persisted
In 19 92 530 ven travellers were arrested, so the biggest mass arrest in modern british history. This crack down really continued then through the rest of the eighties and on into the nineties. Some traveller camps around london that had existed for some time were cleared out. Many hundreds more were arrested. And this new age travelling world has diminished, it seems, since the 19 eighties. But some of it has persisted by blending in with the traditional gipsy and traveller communities around britain or by transitionig into boats.
