How Fathom Juggles Privacy and Law and Data Collection Implications
Fathom has a privacy officer who is one of the smartest people in the world on this topic. She keeps us updated if there are things we have to do, like California, they had some privacy law changes. We put a proxy layer on Hetzner that complete,. like hashes up, removes the IP address, all of that stuff to protect it from US surveillance. And as some people, US customers will not necessarily care about that. It doesn't matter. They have that anyway for their EU customers. So it's one less risk for their business. But I come into play when the law changes that affects our business and then we'll evolve.
