The Role of a Condom in Pregnancy Prevention
Couples that didn't use them all the time, just kind of here or there, had a 14 to 21% chance of contracting HIV during this study. A woman using a condom over the course of a year who uses it perfectly for every act of sexual intercourse with a man has only a 3% chance of becoming pregnant. If you use a condom typically, which is apparently not that great, not that well, in your woman, you have a 12% chance of an unplanned pregnancy.
