The Chinese researchers are under a lot of pressure to be booster-ish about China. Because they know that they're not being read in the Middle East, it doesn't really matter. What matters at the moment is making sure that they are covered within their own academic context inside China. It's one of those things where it looks great for the Chinese when everything goes well, but the Mideast is riddled with disappointment and failed ambitions and hopes and dreams.
