On march fourth, 19 33, president franklin d. Roosevelt took office and was up against the worst economic disaster in american history. By this time, the supreme court was beginning to find its voice again, to come out of the shadows. Not since the civil war has such pressure, political, economic, social, centered on the white house. And so rosevalgina pushes through the first new deo, and the court strikes it down.
