How an Object Map Can Help You Think Through Accessibility Strategies Early On
An object map can help us think through accessibility strategies early on in the process. One thing we were doing wrong on OUX.com is giving everything an alt tag. We were not intentionally thinking about images as decorative versus functional. So for example, the icons for resource type that you see in the resource cards are totally decorative. Right? They are, we don't need all descriptions at all on those. Other images like profile pictures on a strategist detail page probably don't need to be specific to each instance.
