The Modern Grail Is a Chalice
The quest is fundamentally tragic, and that it does not crown or complete the perfect worldly order, but rather destroys it. The modern grail becomes very much like the fountain of youth, or to the philosopher's stone, or the elixir of life. And hence, in some i'll go back to this again and repeat this later, i think that the grael myth, as it emerges in modern times, it has been fausti zed. So the theme has been changed to be very much like thisa deep and powerful modern myth of faust who makes a bargain and gives away his soul for earthly power and knowledge.
