The Voice of Color Thesis
As a young man growing up in the public schools of East LA, shop class was where they sent all the Mexican kids before they sent them to Vietnam to get killed. So we're brought up knowing that if people try to be racist towards us, we're going to kick their ass. That's resistance capital. The other term I want you to unpack is called the voice of color thesis. What I'm trying to look at is the stores of faith that people draw on in order to resist injustice and oppression.
