The Importance of Proportional Representation in American Politics
Richard Vedder: I think there has historically been a lot of tinkering with the American Constitution. He says we should try to address gerrymandering issue by pushing states to use proportional representation in electing state legislatures and their members of Congress. Vedder: Are they huge countries doing better for average citizens? It would seem to me that, you know, China is certainly acquiring its hugeness subsumed into what are now independent states.
