The Cost of Insulin
The cost of insulin is somewhere per mile between like $2 and $6. Over the last 20 years or so there's one insulin product that's seen its price increase by 1000% from 1999 to 2019. There are some kinds of insulin now that cost as much as $300 per dose at the wholesaler level. But, you know, the price for these drugs is generally orders of magnitude more expensive than the production cost.
