Post modernist thinkers often shine a light on grand narratives of the past and then deconstruct or unravel them. Deconstruction is just one strategy of many that was proposed, says Delouse. But there were other approaches by post modern thinkers that have nothing to do with seeing the entire history of philosophy as practically devoid of value moving forward.
