There are approximately 1150 members of the Royal Solomon Islands Police. In deployments over the last 20 years close to an equal number of Australian, New Zealand and Pacific Police that have been involved in training and supporting them. This is approximately $1.7 million per Solomon Islands Police Officer. But despite all the media training they've been given, actually getting to talk to a member of the Solomon Islands Police was a challenge.
