The John birch society was formed in the fifties. They were anti-communist and opposed to save dwit eisenhauer. In 19 64, they ran a barry goldwater as their kind of blessed candidate through the republican party. The american citizenry rejected it whole heartedly. So what are we going to do about this? i would say, step out with most other conservative,. economic libertarians, that started to develop in the republican party up till that time. And you can also argue it's something that wasn't even part of American history until recently.
