"Having no sound at all feels, feels a little bit like being under the water. Far enough here, it starts to hurt your ears," he says. Another phenomenon is that you start to hear your internal organs more the longer you're in here. "It feels like i'm about to be on a plane and my ear is my pop or something."
Some sounds bring happy memories flooding back. Other sounds put us on edge; drive us to distraction; or cause us considerable distress. Sound matters... so why don't we pay more attention to our sonic environment?
