The Only Reason We Live as Long as We Do

The only reason anything we're doing right now is because it's all happened before. Like it or not, the dead have stood in service of the living for as long as therehave been dead people. Chumley and montague are just another link in a long chain. They've joined an a lete line of humans that are doing what needs to be done to the dead in order to protect the living. If we understand how we die, we learn how to better live. By understanding all the ways in which we die, it gives us the gift, those of us who are still breathing, to do so far longer than our ancestors would ever have dreamt of.
