Is It a Hardware Versus a Software Thing?

We wanted to say that toolmaking started sometime after the Homo genus showed up a couple million years ago. But we found even older tools. So it seems like Australopithecus, which again, they're hominins. They're part of the branch that led to us humans, but they're not human in any way, shape, form. The fact that they're using tools was kind of mind blowing.
