The King James Version of the Bible

Until I started researching this episode, I really had very little idea of what the King James version actually was. A lot of people today think that the King James was the first English edition and many of them think that it's the inspired edition. What ended up happening is that a lot of the hierarchy in England didn't like the fact that the Bible was available in English. The big change came in the early 16th century with somebody named William Tyndale,. He is arguably the most important figure for the English language after Shakespeare.
