David Wind and Dine gene convinced Gene Hamlet that his connections will be able to supply him tickets to the 2010 Vancouver Winter Olympics. Over the next 18 months, Gene paid David $2.9 million but never saw a ticket. He even charged Gene $73,000 for an all-inclusive VIP trip that he claimed Hungarian officials took to Canada. In reality, it was David and his father enjoying luxury hotels, spa treatments, minibars and souvenirs. The incident prompted David and his wife to leave the Philippines for good and moved to his parents house in Palmdale.
