What Happened?
This is, of course, thea story of nich's mental collapse. He was walking about in a squaren an saw a horse being beaten by its owner and he ran and threw his arms around the horse. Some versions of the story, he yells out, i understand you. I understand you, presumably speaking to the horse, and then collapses, and then he never recovers after that. And mostly we'll stick to the facts of his life and where people get it, quite frequently actually get it wrong.
