Use of the sigil P macro allows paths and URLs throughout your application to be compile time verified. The fact that it's compile time checked is also super awesome because then you're not thrown around. It just seems like the best of both worlds to me, because that layer of of sort of magic with the helpers has never been entirely clear to me.
