The Fed is aware of this issue, and we're talking about the possibilities in the next downturn of them having to switch to a more populist form of type of stimulus. The volatility that it will lead to will be right tail volatility, which you can profit from in an active vol strategy. But it will drive something I like to call auto correlation markets or trending in markets. That results in the outperformance of things like commodity trend, right tail volatility in gold.
