There's a genetic variant called b r c a, the breast cancer. It was discovered through family trees and genealogies. Now we can identify ten times as many women in the population who do not have it but have equivalent risk. And that risk is not originating from a single mutation. Its originating from the aggregate effect of thousands of mutations. We know where they are, and the computer can add them up. No human brain can track all this stuff, but the computer can do it. That's the kind of world we live in now.
