Anne's Characteristics

Anne's new hubby was fifteen years older than her, but despite the age difference they seemed to have had a happy marriage. Bedford and Anne clearly trusted each other and formed a partnership. They always travelled together, which in those days was most certainly not a gimme. Think of Henry and his first wife Mary Bajoon or Henry and Catherine. Two more events as examples of the way Anne's compassion won her admiration. In 1430 Joan of Arc lay in prison awaiting trial and very probably death. Anne intervened, making sure her jailers did not mistreat her. And finally the way that Anne lost her life.
