Orange Julius: A Chain Restaurant's History
Orange Julius debuted at the 1964 World's Fair in Queens, New York. In 1926, Julius Freed opened an orange juice stand in the heart of downtown Los Angeles. The novelty of Hamlin's drink made the new OJ stand in Angel City hotspot and in time, a staple of mall food courts.
