This week we're talking about the hunchback of Notre Dame by Victor Hugo. Did you know that the Disney movie is only very loosely based on this story? It's a summer camp I worked at a couple years ago where some kids did a really weird version of the hunchbacks. But yeah I don't remember that Disney movie as part of the late 90s decline of the animation department.
We're dipping back in the Victor Hugo well this week with his other best-known book The Hunchback of Notre Dame. Did you know that the book and the Disney movie don't end the same way?
Also on tap: road trips, games of tag, revisiting the poverty question from last week, and talking about Hugo's views on architecture vs. the printing press.
