To be aware is to have a warmth, a warm feel about what it is you're aware of. So being mindful of the body means that when we're standing, we experience our standing. When we're walking, we know we're walking. Our mind is not elsewhere. We are completely there for that experience as it flows on. And then it's a practice to be aware of the various parts of the body, like the famous body scan.
