The Benefits of a Stateful Server Architecture
The complexity is almost all entirely on the client instead of being shared between the client and the server. The operational cost in general has been lower that we spend less time on that. We have pager systems, but they don't just seem to occupy as much of our team's mental and energy bandwidth. But the other thing is, I think we've had to do one or two down times just for migration. When the only impact is your little filled in circle turns to empty and your devices don't sink a little bit. You can access everything. It isn't the whole OS slack down as notion down as GitHub down.
