The Effects of Trauma on Memory

A false memory is quote a phenomenon where somebody recalls something that did not happen or recalls it differently from the way it actually happened. This is so, again, so interesting to me. And I also think that there's we talked about this on the show too, but the way that your memory is altered by trauma and when you're experiencing something traumatic, your memory also becomes affected. It would be pretty amazing if this person hadn't heard from you in 20 years and then you just tweeted at them and said, do you remember where you were on 9 11? Remember me? Yeah. We're on the phone.
