Psychologists have figured out that these triggering behaviors are likely only affecting a small percentage of individuals, rather than a culture at large. So for long time, the concerns about this were relatively overblown. There wasn't the kind of technology in place that would enable this to occur on a large scale. We got to defend video games, amvidio gamers and the people who create these. It should not be a surprise that companies and designers want to make games compelling. After all, you're asking people to give the most valuable rency in the modern day. They're free time. And it's tough to blame game creators.
